“Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, but a women who fears the Lord, she shall be praised” (Proverbs 31:30) NKJV.

Women have been a vital part of the ongoing ministry of EPC. The Women’s ministry, also known as The Pentecostal Women’s Association (PWA), serves to touch the lives of women of all ages by the transforming power and love of Jesus Christ, discipline them to develop a deeper relationship and intimacy with God, and train them to effectively touch their world for Christ. The PWA has supported churches, pastors, and believers in India, raised funds to support families financially with wedding expenses, supported orphanages as well as given educational expenses for children in India. Our purpose on earth is not just to lift the needs of fellow believers in prayer, but also to demonstrate and obediently follow the will of Jesus Christ.

The PWA meets every 4th Saturday of the month between 5 PM to 6 PM.  Scripture tells that women are called to intercede by praying, serving, and ministering for the needs of our congregation and community. Time is spent in understanding the Word of God, sharing our testimonies, and praying for each other’s needs. It is encouraged that intercession is made not just for personal needs, but also for the community, nation, and leaders – to break Satan’s yoke against our families, beliefs, traditions, and freedom.  Being women from different backgrounds, experiences, and levels of spirituality, we uphold each other through prayer, edification, and sharing of the love of Christ. Through dedicated prayers, the awesome presence of God can be experienced in the meetings and answers have been given to many of the prayer requests that were presented.

In Luke 23:27-28, “there followed him a great company of people, and of women, which also bewailed and lamented him. But Jesus turning unto them said, Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not for me, but weep for yourselves, and for your children.” Our children are growing in the midst of confusions, wrongful desires, temptations, and feelings of insecurity.  We believe that Jesus Christ intervenes only when we shed tears, and we have seen the fruits of our labor. The Women’s Ministry, along with other members of the church, engages in community outreach, visiting the sick and the broken-hearted, and exercising our God-given talents for His glory.

We want to take this opportunity, to invite you to come and be a part of the Women’s Ministry.  Come be revived, encouraged, and strengthened in the Lord. God bless!
